My experience working for Wilson Care Group over the past eight months exposed what I believe to be deeply unethical, negligent, and unacceptable practices within the company. I am writing this as a warning to both future employees and families considering trusting this company with the care of their loved ones. During my employment, I repeatedly attempted to speak directly with the owner and the Director of Operations regarding serious concerns I personally witnessed involving client treatment, neglect, unsafe working conditions, and company misconduct. Those requests were consistently ignored or blocked. Instead of addressing legitimate concerns, office staff routinely dismissed complaints, minimized incidents, or brushed issues aside as though nothing had happened. What disturbed me most was the treatment of vulnerable clients. I witnessed caregivers displaying shocking levels of disrespect, neglect, and inappropriate behavior toward individuals who depended on them for care and dignity. Some employees demonstrated little patience, compassion, or professionalism. Complaints and concerns regarding client welfare were not taken seriously, and incidents that should have triggered investigation or accountability appeared to be ignored. Even more alarming, I was made aware of situations where security footage was reportedly never reviewed despite concerns being raised. In a healthcare-related environment where vulnerable individuals rely on accountability and protection, that level of negligence is unacceptable. The scheduling and communication within this company were among the worst I have ever experienced. Staff were often left uninformed, unsupported, and scrambling to fix problems caused by disorganization within the office. Caregivers were expected to absorb the consequences of management failures without assistance or accountability from leadership. Employees are expected to cover many work-related expenses themselves, including Uber transportation costs, with no meaningful reimbursement support. There was no gas reimbursement, no mileage reimbursement, and no serious opportunity for wage growth despite the demands and responsibilities of the work. Meanwhile, there are numerous companies on the island offering significantly better compensation, benefits, rental car assistance, mileage reimbursement, gas reimbursement, and wages that are nearly $10 higher per hour. What I found especially concerning was the company’s apparent failure to properly communicate medical conditions and provide adequate personal protective equipment for clients with transmissible illnesses or diseases. Because of this negligence, I personally contracted an illness that required hospital treatment. No employee should be placed in danger because a company fails to communicate health risks or provide proper protective equipment. This company presents itself as caring and professional, but my experience revealed a workplace culture where serious concerns are ignored, accountability is avoided, employees are undervalued, and client welfare does not appear to receive the level of protection and respect it deserves. Families searching for care for their loved ones should ask difficult questions, do independent research, and seriously consider other providers before placing their trust in this organization. Employees considering working here should also understand that there are far better opportunities available with companies that actually support, protect, and respect both their staff and their clients. I remained hopeful for change during my time there, but after repeatedly seeing concerns dismissed and problems ignored, I can no longer recommend this company in good conscience.

My mother in law is 98 years old. We used Wilson from October 2025. Marilyn and Hilda were angels. Both cared for my MIL, both were gentle in helping bathe her, persuading her to eat, converse, walk, do crafts, etc. And given the advancing state of my MIL's dementia they were very understanding. They talked to her and encouraged her, often praising her for getting tasks like folding clothes done. They even remembered her birthday! The first 2 weeks was a settling in period and after we found a good fit with the aides, we were set. These two were professional, arrived on time, checked with me each time to make sure they caught up with care and they did incredible detailed and accurate notes in the binder. Upon leaving, they made sure my MIL was aware they were going, and updated me on anything I needed to know (rash was worse or better, etc.). Mahalo for all you do.

Horrible company, low wages, concerns brushed aside, situations that needed an immediate response were brushed aside. I don’t understand how this company is still operating at all. I can only encourage every employee or client of this company to report them to proper authorities if the need arises. I would never ever work for them again nor would I ever recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy.

We have our father receiving home visits 3 times a week for the past year. The nurse he really likes has called out so many times and has come to the house smelling of marijuana. We have reported her, but now they say she is the only one available. We have no idea why there has been no investigation and no alternate nurses. Update: Employee has been told not to smoke marijuana while at work. And to show proof of medical marijuana card.

We had services with them in 2022. It's taken me awhile to get around to doing this review because every time I think of this company, it leaves a bad feeling with me. Initially they sounded great on the phone and in the assessment, so friendly, etc. And then when we actually started services, the caretakers were horrible. They kept sending us "emergency floaters" who didn't care about the client/patient. One spent the whole time watching tv even though my mom said she didn't want to watch tv. Another left early without us dismissing her. When I brought it up to the scheduler, he said basically oh that's how it is, you get some good ones and some bad ones, usually the good ones are taken. It boggles my mind why I would still have to pay for the full hours of service when the person didn't even stay, I'm not even addressing the part that they didn't do anything. And I think there were 4 schedulers that I spoke with. Each time I told them to make sure to update the notes in our files and that we are flexible to scheduling so we can find someone good/ long-term. Each time they called me, I had to repeat the story because either no one updated the notes or no one read it if it was updated. And unfortunately as a client, after they sign you up, there's no department or manager to send complaints to or to resolve issues. The only thing to do is to find another company, which we happily did!
