About Care Across America®
Choosing home care for a parent, spouse, or loved one is rarely simple. Families are often navigating an unfamiliar set of decisions during an already stressful time — which kind of care fits, who to trust, and how quickly help can start.
Care Across America® exists to make that search easier. We built a provider directory organized by city and town, a podcast that puts real home care owners and caregivers in front of the families they serve, and a growing library of practical articles on navigating care decisions.
Care Across America is an Approved Senior Network® media and visibility platform. Approved Senior Network works with home care agencies across the country on marketing, education, and community visibility — Care Across America is where that work reaches families directly.
About the Founder
Valerie VanBooven RN BSN, Founder and Co-Owner of Approved Senior Network®

Valerie VanBooven RN BSN is a registered nurse, senior care advocate, entrepreneur, and longtime leader in the home care and aging-services community. Her career has been shaped by a deep understanding of what families experience when an aging parent or loved one begins to need more help, as well as the challenges senior care providers face in delivering compassionate, dependable care.
With a clinical background that includes critical care nursing, Valerie brings a nurse's perspective to conversations about aging, caregiving, home care, senior independence, and family decision-making. She understands that finding care is rarely just a logistical decision. It is often an emotional journey involving safety, dignity, changing family roles, financial concerns, and the desire to help an older adult remain as independent as possible.
Valerie is the Founder and Co-Owner of Approved Senior Network®, where she has spent years working alongside home care agency owners, caregivers, senior care professionals, and industry leaders across the United States. Through that work, she has gained a broad view of the challenges facing older adults, families, professional caregivers, and the organizations that serve them.
Her leadership philosophy is centered on a simple idea: better senior care begins with better information, stronger relationships, compassionate leadership, and a genuine understanding of the people being served.
Valerie is especially passionate about helping families better understand their care options and supporting the professionals who dedicate their careers to helping older adults live safely and meaningfully. Her work spans home care, senior care education, caregiver support, leadership, technology, communication, and the evolving ways families find and evaluate aging-related services.
Through CareAcrossAmerica.info, Valerie brings together her nursing background, decades of senior care industry experience, and commitment to practical education to help older adults, families, caregivers, and senior care professionals navigate aging with greater confidence.
At the heart of her work is the belief that aging deserves thoughtful conversations, trustworthy information, and compassionate solutions, and that every older adult should be treated with dignity, respect, and humanity.
