Accessibility Statement
Effective Date: August 14, 2026 · Last Updated: August 14, 2026
My Senior Service LLC, doing business as Approved Senior Network® ("Approved Senior Network," "ASN," "we," "us," or "our"), is committed to making Care Across America® (CareAcrossAmerica.info) usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities.
1. Our Accessibility Goal
We aim to conform this website to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, a widely accepted standard for web accessibility. Accessibility is an ongoing effort, and we continue to review and improve the site as we add new features and content.
2. Accessibility Features on This Site
This website includes the following built-in accessibility features:
- An on-page accessibility menu, available from the icon in the bottom corner of every page, that lets a visitor adjust text size, increase text and line spacing, underline links, switch to a high-contrast display, and reduce motion and animation. These preferences are saved in the visitor's browser and applied automatically on future visits.
- A "Skip to main content" link for keyboard users, allowing navigation past repeated header content on every page.
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, main, footer, navigation) to support screen readers and other assistive technology.
- Visible keyboard focus states on interactive elements such as links, buttons, and form controls.
- Descriptive alternative text on informational images.
- A responsive layout designed to remain usable at different screen sizes and zoom levels.
3. Known Limitations
Despite our efforts, some content on this site may not yet be fully accessible:
- Embedded third-party content, such as YouTube videos, our podcast player, and lead-capture forms, is hosted and controlled by outside providers. We do not control the accessibility of that third-party code, though we choose providers that generally support standard accessibility features (such as YouTube's built-in captioning controls).
- Older or archived content, including past podcast episodes and articles, may not fully reflect our current accessibility practices.
- Some provider-submitted content, such as agency descriptions and external links, is supplied by third-party home care agencies and is outside our direct editorial control.
We are actively working to address these limitations over time.
4. Feedback and Assistance
If you use assistive technology and encounter a barrier on this website, or if you need information on this site in an alternative format, please let us know. We want to hear about specific pages or features so we can investigate and improve them.
You can reach us through our website correction form or our general contact page. Please describe the page you were visiting, the problem you encountered, and the assistive technology or browser you were using, if applicable.
We try to respond to accessibility feedback promptly and will make reasonable efforts to provide the information or service you're seeking through an alternative method if needed.
5. Ongoing Efforts
Digital accessibility is an ongoing commitment, not a one-time project. We periodically review this website's content, design, and code, and we update this statement as our practices evolve.
