Brookville Home Care is a privately owned, family-operated home care agency licensed by the New York State Department of Health, with its office in Oyster Bay. It serves Nassau, Suffolk and Queens counties, including Oyster Bay, Brookville, Glen Cove, Syosset, Jericho, Bayville, Huntington, Hicksville, Levittown, Old Westbury, Manhasset and Port Washington. Certified home health aides and personal care aides, supervised by a registered nurse, help with bathing, dressing, mobility, meals, medication reminders, light housekeeping, laundry, errands and companionship, at home or in assisted living, on an hourly, daily or 24/7 live-in basis. Care typically begins within 48 hours of an RN assessment, and nurses make supervisory visits every two weeks. Founder Rachel Dombrowsky has operated the Oyster Bay Senior Campus for 30 years. My mother required 24 hour care for over a month at her home. Brookvile Home Care was excellent and very responsive to our needs and any changes we needed. The Aides were very nice, caring and trustworthy. I would definitely recommend Brookville Home Care to anyone that needs care at home for a loved one.

2 Morrison Drive is the next best thing to keeping your loved one at home. This is not a facility. It is a private home in a residential area that accommodates four residents at a time, with two live in caregivers. The food is home cooked, with preferences given to the residents’ tastes. The care is immediate, with no waiting for an aide to care for eight other people before it is your turn. The backyard is inviting and the patio is a nice place to sit and visit in the warm weather. Concerns, if any, are taken seriously and are addressed with speed. Visiting hours are open and visitors are always welcome. My family is grateful that we discovered this little gem for our loved one.

Choosing a Home Care Agency for my mom was one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make. I eventually chose to have Mom live full-time in one of the residential houses at Brookville Home Care, and it was a decision that brought our family immense peace. The house manager, LeeAnn, treated Mom with a profound level of dignity and respect. The caregivers here didn't just "perform tasks"—they became true companions and friends to both Mom and me. Every responsibility was carried out with genuine compassion and kindness, whether it was cooking her favorite meals or ensuring she maintained her dignity by always choosing her favorite clothes while being cleaned and dressed. I want to give a special shout-out to James, the administrator, who was always available to answer my questions and provide guidance by phone. An extra special shout-out goes to the aides, Elenita and Rosalie, who were with my mom from the very beginning to the end. I would also like to thank Neddy and Trudy for always checking on Mom and being there for her during their shifts. Every person who had a stake in Mom’s care was compassionate, patient, and deeply empathetic. They will forever be a part of my family.

I want to thank the staff and administration at Brookville Home Care. I’ve been a client for many years and have always been pleased with the care and attention my mom has received. Anytime an issue came up, James and the administration addressed it right away, which was very reassuring. My mom has built wonderful relationships with the staff, including Shonta and the nurses.
