National Family Caregiver Support Program — Florida
Caregiver support & respite
Information, counseling, support groups, training, respite, transportation and supplemental services for eligible family caregivers.
Family caregivers of adults age 60 or older and certain grandparents or relatives age 55 or older raising children or caring for a person with a disability.
RELIEF — Respite for Elders Living in Everyday Families
In-home caregiver respite
Provides volunteer-based in-home respite, including some evening and weekend support, to help families continue caring for a homebound older adult.
Availability and eligibility vary; access through the local ADRC.
Community Care for the Elderly (CCE)
Home- and community-based services
May provide case management, adult day care, homemaker help, personal care, respite, meals, transportation, emergency response and other supports.
Functionally impaired Floridians age 60 or older; assessment, prioritization and funding availability apply.
Home Care for the Elderly (HCE)
Caregiver subsidy & home supports
Provides a basic subsidy and possible special subsidies for supplies, assistive devices, accessibility changes and services that help an older adult remain in a private home.
