How It Works Here

  • Care Providers visit on a schedule established in the care plan to provide conversation, shared activities, meal preparation or mealtime support
  • Services include errands (grocery shopping, routine needs), light household tasks, accompaniment to activities or appointments, and routine reminders
  • Initial process involves a phone call to discuss the person's routine and needs, a conversation about preferences and interests, creation of an individualized care plan, then Care Provider visits begin according to the established schedule
  • Provides 24-hour home care through shift-based visits, not live-in care

Frequently Asked Questions

How does the process work to get started?

Call to describe your loved one's current routine and areas needing support. True North learns about interests, personality, schedule, and household routines. A care plan is created around the person's needs and family's priorities. Then a Care Provider begins spending time with your loved one according to the established schedule and care plan.

Can companion care help with someone who has memory loss?

Yes. A person with mild memory changes may benefit from conversation, routine support, simple cueing, and meaningful activities. If memory needs become more significant, specialized Alzheimer's and dementia care may be appropriate.
