Three Angels Helped Me Heal at Home

I was recently hospitalized for a hip replacement, and found that I had greatly underestimated the impact of the procedure and my ability to care for myself at home. I was in a panic as North Shore/Skokie hospital was going to discharge me the next day. A friend referred me to Jamie Shapiro and Companion Services (Deerfield). She quickly put my mind at ease arranged for someone to care for me my first night home. She also arranged for coverage the next 6 nights, by two caregivers. Although I wasn’t sure what my needs were, I told Jamie that I’d rather have someone and not need them than need someone and not have them! All three women were absolute Angels! I was so grateful for their sweetness, compassion and skill, and I know my recovery was greatly enhanced by their help and the peace of mind they provided. I felt safe at home with their care and felt like I had 3 new friends! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Companion Services to anyone in need of short or longer term help. I know they will work with you to meet your needs and the staff couldn’t be more wonderful. Highly Recommended!

Wonderful Caregivers in Highland Park, IL

Companion Services of America has helped me take care of my wife for over two months. I called Companion Services when I became overwhelmed with stress and worry over how to care for my wife. She had a broken back and long covid. I needed to keep her safe, secure and she needed help during the night. With the help of our wonderful caregivers, I am much less overwhelmed. I am much more confident that my wife is sleeping safely through the night. My wife's caregiver Maribel is energetic, talkative, safety conscious and always helpful with chores. Anna is strong, steady, and very safety conscious. She suggested the installation of a bed rail to simplify safe toileting and helped teach my wife how to use if with confidence. Both of her caregivers are prompt, pleasant and always helpful.

The Caregivers and Staff at Companion Services of America are Wonderful!

I am continuously impressed...!

We have used other agencies in the past and none compare to Companion Care. Jamie the owner is always responsive and manages to pull rabbits out of a hat to solving problems. The caregiver team has been extraordinary in being proactive and thinking ahead of my mother, which is not easy to do. The team respects her and knows the rhythm of engaging and giving her space. The team is also qualified and vigilant to watch for medical signs that could be harmful. I recommend Jamie, Mary and our caregiver team with high marks!

The Caregivers Treat Your Family Like Their Own

Our Parent's called Companion Services of America about 5 years ago. Their caregiver started at about 10 hours a week helping with errands and doctor's appointments. She slowly grew to more hours as our parents needs increased. Fran was the most patient, optimistic, cheerful, energetic and loving caregiver to our mother. She trusted us and we trusted her. Very Flexible With Our Schedule

Gentle and Experienced Caregiver in Northbrook, IL

Amazing staff and caring and reliable caretakers. They hire the best and we’ve been so happy with all the caretakers. We needed 24 hour care for my mom and had shifts of caretakers.
