  This agency saved my life . Assisting hands came to my rescue when my prior agency abandoned me in the middle of my Care Assisting hands provides excellent home health aids .   Updated below: After my husband’s stroke we reached out to Assisting Hands of Fremont due to their affiliation with the VA. Within 6 weeks, our caregiver had stolen thousands of dollars from us. She used his ATM card to withdraw $4000, used several credit cards, as well as bank account info to send herself money via Zelle. We filed a police report immediately after discovering the fraudulent transactions and she has been charged with 3 separate felonies for elder financial abuse. To have a “caregiver” take such blatant advantage of us at the worst time in our life was shocking to put it mildly. The owner of this agency has never reached out to us to apologize for this nightmare. Please do not trust this agency with your loved ones care and wellbeing! UPDATE: Let me be perfectly clear after reading the owner’s response below. This caregiver WAS arrested and charged with 3 separate felonies! The DA who handled the investigation brought the charges against her, so I’d say it was definitely substantiated by the rock solid and obvious facts of their findings. She has had 2 court appearances already and is preparing to pay restitution and face any additional fines and perhaps jail time at her next scheduled court appearance in April. The authorities take any type of elder abuse, including financial very seriously. Hopefully she’s no longer employed with this agency, but I’m not holding my breath! And….not ONCE has the owner reached out to me, and my contact info hasn’t changed. Wow, just wow…lies on top of excuses. Mind boggling for someone of this nature to be in the business of caregiving..actually more like frightening to be perfectly honest. Lying through his teeth to protect his profits, period.

  I have worked with and referred Jay Mehta, CEO and the team at Assisting Hands Home Care, Fremont on multiple occasions. The team of care givers and care managers at Assisting Hands Home Care are wonderful, thoughtful, and so professional. I have worked in the care field for many years and it is reassuring to know there is a home care provider and company that is so dedicated to their clients and to the community. Jay is the CEO and he knows each of his care providers and his clients. Rarely do you find a CEO who is so connected to the work and service provided.
