Adara Home Health, formerly Prairie River Home Care, is a Medicare-certified home health agency headquartered in Buffalo, Minnesota. Founded in 1989 as Prairie River Inc., it became Medicare-certified in 1996 and became Adara Home Health in January 2019, and today serves 60 of Minnesota's 87 counties through seven branch offices. Its Blaine office serves eastern Kanabec, Pine, eastern Isanti, Chisago, eastern Anoka, Washington, eastern Hennepin and Ramsey counties, including Blaine, St. Paul, Minneapolis, Roseville, Inver Grove Heights, Cottage Grove, Coon Rapids, Hinckley, Pine City, Forest Lake, Isanti and Cambridge. RNs and LPNs provide skilled nursing visits, alongside physical, occupational and speech therapy, home health aides, companion and homemaking care, and pediatric home care, with specialties in hospital discharge, chronic care, wound care, medication management and fall prevention. Adara works with Medicare and Medicare Advantage, Medicaid and waiver programs, veterans benefits, many private insurers, workers' compensation and private pay.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. A disgrace of a home healthcare agency. Adara accepted a referral for a patient and then failed to contact them to initiate care, failed to return any of the (numerous) calls - including to management, and no-showed every single scheduled PT session. I understand if they're at capacity and can't accept, fine. But to accept and then not do ANYTING with it, absolutely unacceptable. We will never utilize them again for any of our patients moving forward.

Adara Home Health will not give out the last name of their employees they intend to send to private homes. I have a child with special needs as does my sister and we have had in home PT and OT for years. We have never been exposed to a provider that will not provide the full information of the people that wish to enter patient homes. And when asked about it, Adara employees are arrogant and obtuse with their response. If you can find another provider, I would highly recommend going in that direction.

They don't pay their staff well enough to keep them on board. I feel sorry for the aids. They consistently stand up this family's appointment every Saturday for a MONTH. Completely unacceptable! Total fail. They just shrug when you say "hey, can my client please get a bath?" Do yourself a favor, pay $10 more an hour and go with quality. Visiting Angeles home care is much better. Prairie river should be taking notes.

I was totally happy with Adara out of Mankato when I moved to the Twin Cities. I got Adara located out of Blaine. They make a lot of medication errors and then argue with you about it instead of trying to solve the problem. Medication errors should be taken seriously then they produced an old doctors note from over a year ago, showing my medication’s when they knew I had moved. My medication had been updated and they had been sorting it correctly up until the nurses changed. And the errors began They offered to come out and check my medicine, but by that time after a week arguing with them, I had one day left Then they came out sorted them correctly, and I let them know of a medication change and they ignored me What I found with Adara in Blaine is they would rather be Right fighters instead of getting your medication correct they were fired and I’ll go without until I find new nursing services one of these times their medication errors going to kill somebody don’t let that be you stay away!

Prairie River provided excellent services for my client. However, they stopped services with no notice stating that my client needed a higher level of care, i.e. residential care. My client went for a week without nursing assistance while we worked to find a new provider. This means no one set up her medication, a complicated process she is unable to do on her own. It is not up to Prairie Care to decide that an independent individual needs residential care, it is up to the individual. It is unethical to stop services without notice.
